Relay for Life is a way to stand up to cancer and to help raise community awareness. 
The event starts on June 1, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. This event is for anyone who has been affected by cancer, whether it’s from a family member or friend.
People have made a lot of progress in regards to fundraising; there are 173 participants, divided into 48 teams, and over $38, 305 has been raised so far for this great cause. Some activities include:
- Overnight relay-style
- Teams of people camp out around a track in the Ozark area
- Members walk around the track
- Food, games and activities can be brought
- Fun for the whole family and for the entire community
- Survivors lap
- Candles are lit to show love and support
- Final ceremony is conducted
