Customers and Businesses Discuss Differences Between Large and Small Businesses

  • Downtown Springfield will host the Shop Downtown First the evening of Dec. 2. The project donates money to local charities and all businesses downtown will be open until 10 p.m.
  • Debbie Wilcox, a shopper in Old Town St. Charles, Mo., said, “All the stores down here are small mom-and-pop stores, none are corporate chain stores and the type of products they offer are so unique you know that if I buy something for someone for Christmas that there could only be a few more of those around, not hundreds like at chain stores.”
